Nick Hayes

Nick is a 24 year old journalist, born and raised in London, UK. He studied Politics for his BA at the University of York, where he also did his MA in English: Writing and Performance.
His dissertation for the latter reflected on the implications of space within the films of Roman Polanski. He was fortuitous enough to track down the elusive director and engage in a fruitful email correspondence with him.
Given his voracious passion for writing he has subsequently undertaken a number of exciting journalistic endeavours, including a three-month stint at Newsweek magazine in London (where a number of his articles were published and multiple by-lines were received on those he researched), as well as time at The Economist, The Times and Spectator Magazine, in addition to experience in other sectors – publishing in the case of Little, Brown and public affairs at Bell Pottinger. He is also an avid traveller, having enjoyed trips with his family to Africa, India and all over Europe.
As his MA attests he is a keen cinephile and can regularly be found ensconced in dark rooms at the British Film Institute.
He is currently a committed member of the Globeez team, producing interviews and articles for the site. He looks forward, hopefully, to setting sail for New York with his girlfriend within the next few years to fulfil his ultimate writing/cinematic ambitions.
